NOAH COLSON
Noah began taking classes from Chris at Blue Hell Studio 6 years ago. After taking all the classes Blue Hell has to offer and learning on his own, Noah’s part time hobby became his full time passion. He’s still a mechanic by day, but Noah hopes to make this a full time career. His dream is to inspire others through the art of blacksmithing and to help them reach their full potential as artists.

TIM PERKINS - Smoked Steel Metal Works
Tim got the blacksmithing bug during a high school trip to Dollywood, where the students got to watch live demos. He’s been blacksmithing since 2014 and rents a space at Smithhaven Studios. Tim is a core member of the Cincinnati Blacksmiths Guild, lending a hand and sharing knowledge at Guild events as well as off-site demos with Blue Hell Studio.
Tim’s interest in teaching springs from the same source as many of us here at BHS, he wants to pass his knowledge of blacksmithing on to other folks, thus forging new generations of blacksmiths.

SCOTT STANSBURY - Steel Bee's Forge
Scott first became interested in blacksmithing while watching Samurai films, wondering how katanna’s were made. Later on during a trip to Colonial Williamsburg, he had a chance to watch a blacksmith at work and fell in love. Scott has taken several classes at BHS since 2014, rents studio space and is the Secretary of the Cincinnati Blacksmiths Guild as well as a core member.
With the desire to be more involved and help keep the art of blacksmithing alive, Scott began training to teach classes at BHS in the summer of 2017. Scott will be passing on his knowledge of blacksmithing and steel fabrication to younger generations through teaching.
